Lansing, MI., February 15, 2008 – Manitou
Pontoon Boats was honored with the J.D. Power and Associates award
for “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Pontoon Boats”* at
the Miami International Boat Show yesterday.
“Receiving this award is a public declaration of what Manitou has
believed all along, quality boats and superior service translate
into satisfied customers. I believe our cutting edge product
offering, lifelong employee base, loyal service oriented dealers and
numerous satisfied customers are what have made receiving this award
possible” said Scott VanWagenen, president of Manitou Pontoon
Boats.
J.D. Power and Associates measures customer satisfaction and product
performance in six factors for the pontoon segment: engine;
ride/handling; helm/instrument panel; design/styling; sound system;
and fishing. In all, J.D. Power and Associates surveys thousands of
consumers to determine the level of satisfaction for the annual
award.

inception.
The Marine Industry CSI Awards program
recognizes participating companies actively
measuring customer satisfaction to pursue
continuous improvement. Award recipients
achieved and maintained an
independently-measured standard of excellence of
90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction
over the past year, based on information
provided by more than 50,000 consumers
purchasing a new boat or engine during the
period between July 2006 and June 2007. A
minimum of 25 consumer responses are required to qualify.
